Atlas Copco trial continues

The Atlas Copco fraud trial in Sudbury has heard from one of the former employees who was convicted two years ago in the case.  Leo Caron was charged along with three other former workers in a fraud that cost the mining company $24-million.

The scheme began in 1996 and grew over the years.  Caron said that in the beginning, he and another worker collected $2,000 a month by padding benefits bills.  He told the court that in the ensuing years, the men got greedy by bringing two others on board and collecting even more money.
