Waterfront owners in the North Bay – Mattawa Conversation Authority area are getting help with their shorelines. The owners are getting free plantings to reduce shoreline erosion, minimize nutrient run-off and improve the fish habitat. The plants are thanks to a $10,000 donation from RBC’s Blue Water Project. In all, two thousand trees, shrubs and plants will go into the ground along 10 shorelines in the catchment area to protect the area.
