West Nipissing police have a serious mischief on their hands.  Inspector Ray St. Pierre says someone broke into an empty home on Park Street in Sturgeon Falls, plugged the drains and turned on the water.  St. Pierre says the culprits created tens of thousands of dollars in damage.

Police became aware of the crime when the homeowner next door noticed that water was leaking through her walls from the vacant house.   St. Pierre is asking anyone with information into Sunday’s incident to call local police or Crime Stoppers.
