Ice fishing debris concerns Crimestoppers

There’s a crackdown underway on people who leave debris behind on Lake Nipissing after the ice fishing season is over.  Some anglers who have removed their ice fishing shacks have left behind things like large chunks of wood, barrels, tarps and milk crates.  Not only is the junk not good for the lake, it also creates a navigation hazard for vessels once the boating season starts.  Near North Crimestoppers will now offer a cash reward for information on the culprits in an effort to stop this practice.
