A well-known North Bay resident is taking over as executive director of the Gathering Place. He’s Dennis Chippa, formerly with the AIDS committee of North Bay. Chippa replaces Jill Clark who has been the executive director of the soup kitchen since 2009. Clark announced her retirement last fall and is moving back to Southern Ontario with her husband.
Her last day on the job is June 30th. Meanwhile for Chippa his appointment is a full circle event. He was an original board of director of the Gathering Place when the organization was formed in 2002 and now assumes the top executive position.
