A North Bay woman undergoing a mental assessment at the North Bay Regional Health Centre faces charges following a knife incident. The 26-year-old produced a knife she had hidden and assaulted a developmental services worker who then called for back-up.
Two guards arrived and one of them got hurt while trying to keep the woman at bay. The guards held two doors closed while the woman stabbed at the doors from the other side. Among the charges she faces are carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and three counts of assault.
