Poll finds little support for switch to electricity

There`s virtually no appetite among northerners to switch from natural gas to electricity like the Wynne Liberals are considering.  After the cabinet document was leaked to the Globe and Mail last week, the Sudbury Star polled its readers on their thoughts.  The poll finds 92 percent oppose any Liberal effort to force us to switch from cheap natural gas to more expensive electricity.

Respondents say natural gas is clean and affordable while hydro will price us out of our homes.  Another respondent wasn`t surprised that a government would get rid of a useful resource.  Only five percent like the idea and the remainder were undecided.
