Some West Nipissing businesses have relayed concerns they have about street cleaning through their chamber of commerce. And their concern has prompted a response from Mayor Joanne Savage. The mayor says the contract isn`t done yet and the mayor says the contractors is out doing a lot of work during both day and night.
She adds the contractor is also using water to keep dust levels down to a minimum. Savage says everyone has the same goal which is to ensure clean streets and sidewalks for all communities in West Nipissing. The contract calls for street and sidewalk cleaning where applicable in Sturgeon Falls, Cache Bay, Verner, Field and River Valley.
