With tax, it will cost $7.6 million to replace and rehabilitate the Lakeshore Drive Overpass. The work will be carried out over two years. This year, the lower deck will be worked on and in 2017, it’s the upper road surface and sidewalk. Next year’s work will be carried out in two phases with rehab work first on one side and then the other with traffic merged to keep vehicles moving in both directions. The province and feds will pay a total of $3 million as their share of the work.
