The mayor of West Nipissing has issued a statement over the recent firings of two municipal employees. Joanne Savage says contrary to what some residents of the community believe, the CAO is not acting without council’s approval.
Savage says the decisions to sue a contractor plus the firings were discussed with council at all times. Savage says the CAO is not acting alone. And because litigation and personnel are involved, the mayor says there’s only so much information that can be released.
