Canadore College should be able to start saving money on its hydro bill. Energy Minister Glenn Thibeault dropped by the school on Monday to say Canadore is taking part in the government’s Industrial Conservation Initiative. Thibeault says the ICI program is already in place in several northern communities and is saving organizations money. One of them is the hospital in Sault Ste. Marie which will be able to save $400,000. The ICI can cut an organization’s hydro bill by up to 30 percent by reducing usage during peak hours.
