Markstay-Warren can pursue two water related projects thanks to an infrastructure grant from the federal government. The municipality can now build a new storm water outlet and replace two aging lift pumps to increase the reliability of the sewage station in Warren. The cost of both projects is $50,000 and the federal grant covers half of the total bill. The balance will be paid for equally by the province and municipality. In addition, Markstay-Warren is getting nearly $140,000 from the Gas Tax Fund. Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre was in the community Thursday afternoon delivering the good news.
