$5,000 and maybe still rising. That’s how much money has come into the West Nipissing Food Bank since an impromptu live broadcast on Moose FM on Tuesday. Food Bank President Claudette LeRoy came on the air to appeal for money because the agency has been running a little low. The broadcast raised $1,200 but since then more donations have poured in. Among the latest is $350 from the Economic Partners AGM and $200 from the Riv Chip stand. LeRoy is still collecting donations on behalf of the food bank and she can be reached at 594-2279.
