West Nipissing comes through for local food bank

West Nipissing residents and businesses have come through for the local food bank.  What started as an impromptu broadcast which brought in $1,200 has surpassed the $4,000 mark.   Tuesday morning the president of the West Nipissing Food Bank, Claudette LeRoy, came on the air with morning show host Steph Larouche explaining the need for more money for the agency.  During the broadcast, there was a commitment from Union Gas to make a significant donation.  After the broadcast, the Caisse Populaire in Sturgeon Falls and Verner donated $1,000.  That was followed by a $1,000 donation from S and B Investments.  People can still donate by calling LeRoy at 594-2279 and in return you’ll get a tax receipt.
