Health Sciences North in Sudbury is increasing the number of Patient Advisors. These are former patients or family members of patients who have been in the hospital within the last two years. The P. A.’s give doctors, health care providers, management and the board of directors input on how to improve planning for patient care. There are nearly 50 Patient Advisors now at HSN with seven more just added. Some shortfalls past patients have noticed is that while the level of care was great, not enough information was provided when being discharged. It’s this kind of thing the P.A.’s will tell HSN.
