North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority looking for public input on new website

The North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority wants to hear from the public on what to include in its new website.  The authority is creating a new website and in addition to posting information about its programs, it wants to know what else the site should include.  If you have any ideas, send them to the conservation authority online.   The conservation authority says it’s easy for the organization to post information about its own programs and services.  However it wants area residents to think about what other services and information people might find useful.  The conservation authority has a role in the watershed management of the area and it balances people’s needs with those of the natural environment.   The authority’s programs and services include 16 conservation areas and trails.  It has a number of programs including the Restore Your Shore program.  It’s jurisdiction covers more than 2,800 square kilometres and includes watersheds within the Lake Nipissing and Ottawa River Basins.  The conservation authority is a non-profit, environmental organization that is community based.   It was established by the provincial government in 1972.  The online survey is available at the authority’s website at www.nbmca.ca and is accessible to the public until July 31st.
