West Nipissing hit with rash of breaks-ins and attempted break-ins

Police in West Nipissing are investigating at least four break-ins or attempted break-ins that took place within days of each other.  Chief Chuck Seguin says there was an attempted break-in at a Sturgeon Falls business although the culprits didn’t enter the shop.  However an apartment owner in Sturgeon Falls wasn’t as lucky.  The Chief says the tenant is out some money and identity cards after someone got in unit.  Seguin adds it’s not known if the apartment door was locked.  Police are also trying to find a John Deere riding lawn mower stolen from a shed in Verner.  The fourth incident involves someone breaking into a cottage on Hardwood Island on Lake Nipissing where only a gas can was stolen.
