Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre has announced more than $23,000 in funding for six organizations in Greater Sudbury and Nickel Belt for events taking place during the Celebrate Canada 2017 period. Part of the funding will support the Canada 150 celebrations being held in West Nipissing, as well as Killarney, and Markstay-Warren.
Serre expects to be busy on Canada Day, travelling around Nickel Belt and meeting with people. He says celebrating a big event like Canada 150 in smaller communities is especially important to him. Serre says he’s organizing his schedule now to get to as many communities tomorrow as he can. More than $23,000 in funding is going towards six organizations in Greater Sudbury and Nickel Belt for events taking place during the Celebrate Canada 2017 period.
