The work starts in earnest in just a few days for West Nipissing as it gets ready to host the International Plowing Match in 2019. Council introduced the members of the executive committee of the plowing match at council. Mayor Joanne Savage says now the work intensifies with a meeting next week with the Ontario Ploughman’s Association. The meeting is to start planning and organizing the major event. Savage also says the committee needs a lot of helping hands to pull off the International Plowing Match in just two years. She says at least 50 sub-committees will be formed and she hopes residents of West Nipissing can help with these committees in some way.
