A number of events are planned at the Nipissing First Nation on Wednesday as the community celebrates National Aboriginal Day. Chief Scott McLeod will provide the welcoming and that’s followed by an Honour Song. The morning sees a presentation and workshops and then there’s a noon break for a barbeque which also includes an old photo presentation. The afternoon features several more workshops plus there’s a Pow Wow presentation by young people and a bingo. Following other activities, the day ends with closing ceremonies and a giveaway. All events are at the First Nation’s high school.
