Charges laid in two investigations

A Verner man is looking at an assault charge after an incident with his girlfriend.  West Nipissing Police Inspector Ray St. Pierre says the charge was the result of a domestic dispute becoming violent.   St. Pierre says it’s alleged the 48-year-old swung a bag of tools at the woman and hit her with an ashtray.  Meanwhile police have charged a 56-year-old Crystal Falls man with harassment after a neighbour called the authorities.  The complainant told police that the accused kept watching his home even though he was told to stop several times.
