The OPP are telling us about another version of the CRA con. In this version, the scammer phones to say you owe the tax money, and then directs you to a CRA website. However the OPP say don’t fall for this line because the site in question is a fake. Apparently it’s designed to get personal information from you so that the con artists can then start stealing your money. Police are saying don’t respond to these types of calls and don’t click any of the links that the caller suggests.
