A report makes 43 recommendations on dealing with violence against young women and girls and Nickel Belt MP Marc Serre is one of its contributors. Serre says he’s grateful that many victims spoke to the standing committee studying this issue with the goal of making changes. Serre says the women showed incredible bravery by sharing the kind of violent incidents and trauma they endured. The report recommends changes to law enforcement where young women and girls are victims of violence or harassment. It also recommends changes to reporting and support for this group. Serre hopes the federal government will adopt the recommendations.
