A deadly crash on Highway 17 over the weekend claimed the lives of a father and his infant son. 32-year-old Christopher Brule, was driving with partner Ashley Richer and their infant son when his pickup hit a 10-ton truck on Highway 17. Brule was pronounced dead at the scene, while his nine day old son succumbed to his injuries within two days. The mother, remains in hospital, where she’s being treated for serious injuries.
Richer hails from the Massey area and Brule is originally from Ottawa. Police said the family was travelling westbound on Friday afternoon when their pickup collided with the 10-ton truck. The two vehicles ended up on opposite sides of Highway 17.
