The West Nipissing police have created a mascot for the department. The mascot is a dog and was formally introduced at council by police chief Chuck Seguin and Barry Bertrand, the chair of the police board. The mascot doesn`t have a name yet and Mayor Joanne Savage says that`s where elementary students in West Nipissing come in. Savage says they`ll be given images of the mascot and asked to come up with a name for it. The winning name gets a prize and the name will be revealed during the week of May 17th which is police week.
