Sturgeon Falls new home for landed imigrants

Sturgeon Falls has a new family.  The family arrived this week from a refugee camp in Kenya.  Neighbours Without Borders was instrumental in bringing the family to West Nipissing.  Spokesman Greg Humbert says the family members are now officially landed immigrants after Immigration Canada processed the paperwork.  Over the next while Neighbours Without Borders will help the family get used to its surroundings, help find jobs and get the kids into school.  Humbert says the family comes to Canada at a time when it’s celebrating its 150th birthday.  Humbert says it’s the hopes of immigrants, their talents and energy over the decades that’s helped make Canada the nation it is today.
