Pilot job creation program

Two groups in Nipissing are joining forces to create 100 jobs in the district.  The chamber of commerce in North Bay and District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board are behind the pilot project.  Under it, business people have a talent pool of 500 people to choose from to meet their needs.  And to make the job creation process a little easier to take, the shop owners are subsidized up to $4,500 for every new hire.  The pilot program is geared toward small and medium-sized businesses.  More information about the program is available online at www.gettrainedworkers.com   The goal is to get the program running by February 1st.
