You can add the North Bay Regional Health Centre to the list of hospitals in the north seeing a peak in the flu. The hospital has seen a jump in patients with respiratory illnesses. That spike was enough for management to designate the hospital a high risk for influenza zone. This means infection control measures are in place at the health facility. One measure asks people not to visit patients if they’re also not feeling well in an effort to keep patients from getting sicker.
