As of September 1st, the Nipissing First Nation will have its own fire service. That’s resulted in a revision to the fire agreement contract North Bay has with the reserve. Up to now, North Bay firefighters have handled all fires on Nipissing. But once the new service is up, the North Bay response will be reduced to handling industrial and commercial fires. The Nipissing firefighters will deal with residential fires.
