Man once convicted of manslaughter returns to jail

A Timmins man who completed a seven year prison term for manslaughter is back behind bars.  A Timmins judge convicted 37-year-old Gerald Caza on eight offenses including assault, uttering threats and causing a disturbance.  The court heard that Caza went to a financial institution in Iroquois Falls where he demanded a one thousand dollar loan.

When he was refused, he threatened to bring in a biker gang to trash the town.  Then he beat up his cousin who lived nearby and an aunt who he lifted in the air by her throat.  Caza was in custody while awaiting trial for the latest offenses and the judge took that into account when he sentenced him to 60 days and 18 months probation.
