Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says under the former Harper government, FedNor employees were frustrated. Angus has possession of an internal FedNor document from 2014 that points to low morale and frustration. In 2008, 84 percent of FedNor employees said the agency was a great place to work at but by 2014, the number had fallen to 30 percent.
Issues that led to the drop are budget constraints, cutbacks and a poor decision-making process among senior management. Angus says the Liberals have a chance to change this, but so far it appears to be the status quo for how the government treats FedNor.
